Maximum effective film coefficients:
The maximum effective film coefficient of metal foams are shown on the 3D plots below. In general sense the film coefficient is a function of foam density, foam thickness, coolant, flow rate and temperature. However, the surface plots assumes that the local film coefficient is at its maximum. The flow rate to reach this condition and the resulting pressure drop information is not included in these plots.
